The Teacher
Welcome to my music studio! Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it eventually led me to the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. There, I spent years studying Music Education, with the piano as my principal instrument — countless hours of practice, inspiring mentors, and the joy of discovering how music connects people. Later, my love for words and storytelling guided me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Together, these two worlds shape the way I teach: with creativity, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning. I’m excited to share that journey with you.
My teaching career began in 1997 at the Yamaha School of Music. For 13 wonderful years, I had the joy of guiding young musicians through their earliest musical experiences. I later spent two years teaching High School Music, where I enjoyed inspiring teens to explore their creativity and deepen their appreciation for the arts.
I completed the Junior Music Courses under the Japanese Education System, a specialized program designed for preschoolers and facilitated by Yamaha School of Music Philippines. This training strengthened my foundation in early childhood music education and continues to shape my teaching approach today.
In 2013, I took a meaningful step forward and opened my own music studio — a space built on encouragement, discipline, and the belief that every student can thrive with the right guidance.
Over the years, my students have achieved remarkable success. Some have won awards at Grand Recitals, earned top honors in piano competitions, and received distinction marks in ABRSM Music Theory examinations. I also continue to participate in musical trainings and workshops to enhance my skills and ensure that my teaching remains fresh, effective, and inspired.
Alongside my music journey, I also found myself stepping into the world of language. I spent time teaching General English and Business English to adults, helping them grow in confidence with every conversation. I also worked with young learners through English tutorials and ESL classes, where every lesson felt like a small adventure in communication. Those experiences taught me how to connect, encourage, and bring out the best in each student — skills that continue to shape the way I teach today.
Here in my studio — whether online or in person — students get to learn, play, and have fun as they explore the world of music and language. Every lesson is interactive, encouraging, and designed to make each child feel excited about growing as a musician and a confident communicator.
My goal is simple: to guide each student as they discover their own musical voice, grow braver with every lesson, and find joy in both music and English. I’ve watched how a spark of curiosity can blossom into confidence, and how a single melody or a new word can open up an entire world. Being part of that transformation — seeing students light up as they learn — is what inspires me every day.
